About Exaring AG

Our product waipu.tv provides IPTV Live Streaming: Free TV, Pay TV, NewTV, Video-on-demand, recordings, restart, and timeshift – all within a single app on a wide range of devices: smartphones, tablets and TVs (FireTV, Apple TV, Smart TVs and our own waipu.tv stick).

As Exaring AG we operate an entire platform and handle the complete process: from encoding the video signals to delivering streams to our 1 Million + customers across Germany.

What you will be doing

With increased growth, we are looking for individuals who can take our service infrastructure to the next level. Join us and take responsibility for existing and new systems, bringing video content to millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities

You will help us improve our CDN and Media Asset Management (MAM) systems

You will automate video workflows such as transcoding, live encoding, channel management and video distribution. You will be developing software solutions that enable more efficiency and scalability for these processes

You will support the efforts to improve server-side ad-stitching solutions. This includes working with ad operations teams to identify areas of improvement and developing software solutions to address them

Together with the team you will build tools for monitoring and improving the end-user streaming experience and for monitoring the backend systems

Who are you

Skills & Experience

Must-have:

• You have extensive knowledge and experience around adaptive streaming: MPEG-DASH, HLS, Low Latency Streaming

• You have a solid understanding of video process technologies

• You have a background in software engineering with Golang

• You have experience in software development of high-volume API services

Nice-to-have:

• You have good knowledge about FFmpeg, AWS Elemental, AWS Media Services, Unified Streaming

• You have experience with media asset management (MAM) systems and scaling CDN Systems

• You have experience with Video Player development

• Experience with Java/Kotlin/JavaScript on the client side is a plus
